Senior Pastor
BISHOP RODNEY W. GILCHRIST
Bishop Gilchrist is a man shaped by two callings: one to his country and one to his God. A 24-year Army veteran and combat veteran of the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom, he retired from military service and poured everything into building Liberty Christian Center in Killeen, TX. For over 16 years he has led this church with the same discipline, integrity, and heart for people that defined his military career. He preaches the Word with clarity, leads with character, and genuinely loves the people God has placed in his care.

First Lady
ELDER KAREN GILCHRIST
Karen Gilchrist is the heart behind so much of what makes Liberty feel like home. She has stood alongside Bishop Gilchrist through over 37 years of marriage and ministry, and her presence at Liberty is felt in every room she walks into. She has a heart for women, for families, and for anyone still figuring out where they belong. She loves people well, she leads with grace.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Faith means nothing without something to stand on.
Here is our Statement of Faith
01
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the fully inspired, inerrant Word of God and our ultimate guide for life and faith.
2 Timothy 3:16 / 2 Peter 1:20-21
02
The Trinity
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19 / Ephesians 4:5-6
03
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived sinlessly, died for our sins, and rose again. Through Him every believer receives forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life.
John 1:1 / Romans 5:6-8 / 2 Corinthians 5:21
04
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer, empowering, guiding, and transforming them from the inside out.
John 14:16-17 / Romans 8:9 / Galatians 5:22-25
05
Salvation
We believe salvation is the greatest gift God ever gave. It's not earned and it can't be bought — it comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone.
John 3:16 / Ephesians 2:8 / Romans 6:23
06
Baptism
We believe in baptism by immersion as an act of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Christ. We also believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to every believer, with speaking in tongues as one evidence of His presence.
Matthew 28:19 / Romans 6:3-5 / Acts 2:4 / Acts 2:38-39
07
Healing
We believe God still heals today through prayer and faith.
James 5:14-15 / 1 Peter 2:24 / Mark 16:18
07
The Return of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is coming back. The dead in Christ will rise, and He will reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 / Revelation 20:6 / Acts 1:11
09
Communion
We observe communion in remembrance of Christ's body and blood, and what He did for us on the cross.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
